Climate Change

Climate change is one of the biggest threats the world is facing environmentally, socially and economically. Human activities are contributing to the change of climate through the release of additional greenhouse gases (GHG) into the atmosphere. GHGs have the same impact on the atmosphere regardless of where they are emitted. That is why global approaches, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the subsequent Kyoto Protocol, were launched to effectively address the climate change challenge.

In CyEn, we assist our clients in both the public and private sectors to ascertain the requirements of these international agreements, design the policy and strategy for implementation, as well as monitor and review the implementation process. Specific institutional and capacity needs at different levels are identified for further building before and during the execution process.


 
 
Environmental Due Diligence (EDD)

An EDD review addresses the financial implications of both potential environmental liabilities and assets to enable informed decision-making on corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestments, business contracts and accounting.
